Update on the children we have helped this year
April - Shawn Dippre has "Metachromic Leukodystrophy", disease of the brain attacking the developmental areas. His only hope was to have a bone marrow transplant to stop this disease from spreading. He is an 8 year old boy from East Stroudsburg.
He had the transplant in May, his youngest brother was the donor.
He is presently being feed through a feeding tube trying to regain his strength, frequently traveling to Childrens Hospital in Philadelphia for checkups. His father Clint has helped us at all the races since April with parking, he has been a tremendous help.
May - David Suppan, 7 year old boy from Tobyhanna has "Adrenal Leudodystrophy" disease of the brain causing rapid deterioration.
His family brought David to " John Hopkins-Kregger Institute where he was diagnosed with this rare deadly illness in March. He was not a candidate for any transplant. He has gone from a normal healthy boy to presently being bed bound, receiving nutrition from a feeding tube with daily nursing care being provided. His mom says his speech is limited to a moan and he still hears well, when someone enters the room he has a huge "smile" for them.
God Bless him.
September - Sabrina Milarta, 11 year old girl from Towanda is undergoing treatment for her second relapse from Leukemia. He family faces great struggles trying to bring her disease into remission.
October - Serena Morales. 2 year old girl from East Stroudsburg with Hirschsprung's Disease, sadly past away in November, she was ill from the time she was born.
The Morales family was extreamly grateful for all the help and support they received at the end of Serena's life, they used the donation we gave them for her burial.
Many other families in need we have bought phone cards for them to use while away from home at the hospital, given them money for gas and other expenses they may encounter.
Our organization has never been busier. Founder " Nelly Grampp" receives at least a few new referrals on a monthly basis, so your help is needed more than ever. We try to help them by giving them ongoing support and assist with expenses to make their life less stressful. We have been extreamly blessed to have all of your continued support and help.
Please continue to help us help these chicldren and their families.
